I started as a musician, not a filmmaker. Years of chasing the right tempo, the right pause, the right note. That's still what I'm doing, just with a camera instead of an instrument.
Some days it's painterly, every frame built with the same care as a still life, deliberate down to the shadow. Other days it's closer to documentary. I put the plan down, step back, and let the day just happen in front of me. And somewhere in between is an editorial eye, the kind that knows when a frame is worth holding a beat longer, the way a good magazine spread does.
